The Glass and Glazing Federation [GGF] have recently announced its position as the main sponsor for an new ombudsman scheme. This scheme will play an active role in protecting the rights of consumers regarding the installation of double glazing replacement windows and doors, conservatories and roofing products. The Glazing Ombudsman [TGO] scheme is unique in being accountable to a completely independent council and will supplement rather than replace other conciliatory services. The GGF claims that the new scheme will be free, fair and above all impartial when dealing with unresolved disputes between scheme members and customers.

Customers may access the TGO to complain about work performed or the goods themselves supplied by companies registered on the scheme. The process has been designed to be simple and uncomplicated with the limit for claims set at £25,000. Due to their status as sponsors the GGF will be funding the fist years registration for their members.
